The game of bingo developed differently in the United States than it did in the United Kingdom. The U.S. version is played on cards that have a five-by-five number grid with one letter of the word bingo over each column.  The B column has numbers one through fifteen; the I column has numbers sixteen through thirty; the N column has numbers thirty-one through forty-five; the G column has numbers forty-six through sixty and the O column has numbers sixty-one through seventy five.  A caller draws the balls from the bingo machine and calls out the letter and number.

Players check their cards and cover the numbers that they have using colored plastic chips, usually. These chips can be magnetic with metal through the inside or around the edge. Then the casino player uses a magnetic wand to clear the chips at the end of the internet gambling game. Players play whatever number of cards they are comfortable with, usually about thirty for regular games. The cards are glued together with a glue stick to form a large square or rectangle which is then taped to the table. This prevents the cards from moving around when the player is placing or removing chips. The square number grid on the cards lends itself to many different patterns. There are more than three hundred bingo patterns that can be made on the square grid. The craps players must match the announced pattern in order to win the game. A regular bingo consists of any vertical, horizontal or diagonal line.
